PRODUCER
This project was quite ambitious given its micro budget. I collaborated with the Director and Cinematographer to create the ideal shooting schedule, assemble the proper team, and rent the equipment needed to make their vision a reality on screen.
I handled the insurance, permits, contracts, rentals, releases, invoices, and call sheets for this production. It was definitely a unique challenge, and excellent learning experience, tackling a project like this with such a small team compared to larger productions I've worked on with much larger budgets.

We were quite fortunate to have access to this location for a few weeks leading up to our shoot date. Unfortunately, it was completely empty and unfurnished. I utilized various resources--thrift shops, friends, personal collections, and rentals to fill the space and create the world of our lead character. The most exciting and challenging was the "Trophy Room" where the serial killer main character would keep the "trophies" obtained from each of his victims. I gave the room an attention to detail and backstory that really added to the authenticity of the space on screen.

ART DEPARTMENT
Creating this practical effect on a shoestring budget was such a rewarding challenge!
The director and I collaborated on several possible options before landing on this one.
We found a table for the set with a removable leaf insert. Once removed, I cut down foam board to match. That foam board was then cut into two pieces with a neck hole in the middle that I sized to snuggly fit our talent's neck. During the shoot, the talent placed her head between while kneeling under the table and voila! Severed head on a table.
